Think you need a 4x4 and a fat wallet to hike Patagonia’s famous Mirador Las Torres? Think again. You can pull it off in a single day using buses and shuttles from Puerto Natales, and still catch jaw-dropping views of the granite towers and their glacial lake.
Start early—like 6:45 AM early—and you’ll have about 10 hours on the trail. The route is scenic but tough, especially that last rocky kilometer. Stop at Refugio Chileno for a break, then power up to the lake for your reward. Don’t forget layers, water, and snacks—and your camera, of course.
